I'd it's 21st today, but he wanted to celebrate it all yesterday (he's at work today).
So yeah... apparently, I can cook! :P I have baked before, but it's a rare event. Only because I don't like our kitchen :P When I have my own kitchen, I'm going to bake and have dinner parties :D I love cooking, it's really creative.
Cause James isn't a huge fan of sweets, I had a hard time thinking of what I should make for an after-mains for our picnic. We had watermelon, strawberries, walnut-bread (I baked it, but didn't make it :P) with ham and salad, and the cookies. I made sure they had not too much sugar and plently of spice. The family (kind of annoyingly :P) ate most of them! >_< :P They were kind of all meant for James... but he seemed okay with it :P hehe.
I must remember he liked the above for future foodthings. I liked it all too, though if it were a picnic for me, I'd have more sweets :P I'm a sucker for sugar :P
Which brings me to another topic: I'm off that darn drug that made me gain 7kg! Woo! I'm starting to get back down to where I was before. It's no big deal, but it's nice. It was for migranes: I'm now on some natural supplement, and I've been fine, so, wee!
Oh! I'm going to get a Wii for myself this christmas :D I'm also hoping to get a couch for my study, and a new double bed so James can stay over. We don't have any spare beds here at all atm >_< He does, so I can stay there, but I'd like to have him over here too.
I've been spending a fair amount of time lately with Jane... her and her family are really nice people. We're from totally different worlds in some ways; I'm an atheist, she's catholic. But in a lot of ways we're quite alike. I accompanied one of her flute students for an exam on the weekend; was fun ^_^ Good experience too (and money! :P)
I'm thinking of going away to New Caledonia for a few nights with her in the hols :D :D :D There's a special she spotted and she really wants someone to go with.
I'm also planning on holidaying with con friends in the country at a jazz festival, and with James twice; a night in the city, and a few nights near a beach somewhere.
These holidays are going to ROCK.
Oh! And cabaret with Alvin! :D :D :D
Annnnnyway. I'm in the middle of an honours talk atm so I should probably try and do more work. :P I've been so into my comp major this semester than I've kinda ignored a few things lately :P Oops.
Btw, I'm still thinking of doing a PhD in Composition after this course (1 year to go). I just love it.
I'm in a really good place right now. I'm happy, even though things are busy.
Anywho, work work work :P
